If your bar uses the revolutionary, single-use KeyKeg system, then you’ll need this specific KeyKeg coupler since standard couplers will not fit.
The KeyKeg has a number of advantages, including being cheaper, lighter, and recyclable. Like any other draft beer system, this keg coupler is used connect the gas tank to the keg, so pressurized gas can push the beer through the beer line to the faucet.
Designed specifically for KeyKegs, this unique keg coupler fitting properly pumps the propellant gas between the external plastic shell and inside bladder to squeeze the beer out of the keg.
Made of steel with a brass-plated body, the KeyKeg coupler comes with a lever handle for easy operation. The probe, which is inserted into the keg, is made from extra-durable, corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel.
The German brewery Ayinger and the Czech brewery Budejovicky (Budvar) both use the KeyKeg system, and there’s increasing activity among US winemakers who are transporting their wine that way as well.
Because of its proprietary design, this KeyKeg coupler will not work on any traditional steel kegs.
